Description
The mistletoe necklace is a charming and festive piece of jewellery that captures the enchanting spirit of the Christmas season. The pendant features a delicate sprig of mistletoe, with its iconic paired leaves and clusters of tiny berries beautifully crafted in fine detail. The leaves are elegantly curved, mimicking the natural shape of mistletoe. The berries are small and rounded, adding a touch of contrast to the leaves. The mistletoe sprig is suspended from a slender, delicate chain that complements the pendant's graceful design, allowing it to rest lightly against the collarbone. This necklace is perfect for adding a touch of seasonal charm to any outfit, whether worn casually or as a subtle Christmas accessory at festive gatherings. The mistletoe necklace is not only a symbol of Christmas cheer but also a timeless piece that can be worn year-round as a reminder of love, luck, and celebration. It makes a thoughtful gift or a lovely addition to your own jewellery collection. Having read some interesting history about Mistletoe I was inspired to get creating. In Roman times, enemies would reconcile under the mistletoe as it represented peace and it was also included in marriage ceremonies as a sign of fertility. Druids had an entire ceremony dedicated to the sacred mistletoe which they associated with fertility and everlasting life. With all these amazing meanings what a great gift to give. This jewellery is designed and hand-crafted by Louise in her Market Bosworth Studio. As the jewellery is hand-crafted there may be tiny variances from the image shown. Louise uses silver clay which, when finished, is 99% pure silver. Each piece comes in a gift box made from recycled materials.

I began my journey into Silver Metal clay whilst running a pottery studio in 2012 and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I hold a Higher Diploma in Silver Metal Clay and am a senior metal clay instructor and glass teacher. I have been teaching for over ten years running classes from my studio in Market Bosworth and many jewellery schools and galleries all around the Midlands area. I am a member of The Guild of Jewellers and am on the education committee of the alliance of metal clay. I also hold a Gold student choice award. One of my proudest moments was visiting Tokyo and seeing one of my pieces displayed in the Silver Accessories Exhibition. I would love to meet you on one of my courses so please book as soon as you can. Louise x

FAQs
It is of hallmark standard and if I am selling a piece that weighs over 7.98 grams I have to hallmark it. I have my own hallmark registered with the London Assay Office.
Yes, it is 99% pure solid silver after firing.
I use silver clay, which is pliable, so it can be shaped into many designs that you can create yourself or I can help you with ideas. When you have molded your design in clay, you fire your piece to burn off other substances in the clay to leave a residue of 99% pure silver. You then polish your piece to finish off the process to create an amazing piece of your own unique silver jewellery.
Absolutely. I take every opportunity to look after our special world. I use recyclable packaging and the silver clay itself is made up from recycled material. Components of old mobile phones and out of date hospital x-rays are just examples of material that are recycled into silver clay.
