Description
In this full day course, you will be walked through the process of creating your very own pieces of metalwork. You will learn to how to cut, file, shape, texture, solder, stamp and polish copper and silver. You can expect to make 2- 3 pieces of silver jewellery or objects over the course of the day. This course is ideal for those with very little or no jewellery making experience. You will become accustomed to the processes and tools used for each step. Please note that this is a guided class and therefore finished outcomes will be of a similar nature for each person attending. Our classes are held in our lovely, cosy studio in Croft Myl in Halifax. We have space for 6 attendees on each class where you will have your own individual workspace, and all materials and tools provided. Refreshments are included, with tea and coffee and snacks available throughout the class. There is no designated lunch break but there are natural breaks in the making process so please feel free to bring your own lunch. Times vary for each class, please ensure you read the individual descriptions thoroughly, and please be aware that finishing times are an estimate and classes may finish slightly earlier or slightly later than the time given. Please note that classes will be unable to run if the minimum requirement of 3 attendees do not book on. Please bring reading glasses if required and tie long hair back. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the building there is no wheelchair access to Croft Myl and there is stepped access only to the studio.
