Join me before the clocks spring forward on this one-day workshop and learn to make inks the natural way! You'll learn how to make your own ink from scratch using locally foraged oak galls perfect for calligraphers and artists, as well as making ink suitable for printmaking. This is the first in a series of workshops exploring natural inks and pigments. What will I learn? - where oak galls come from and how to forage sustainably - step by step guide for making inks during the workshop and at home - how to store and look after your inks (bring your own lidded jars) - how to create ink for drawing and writing - how to create ink for printmaking - experiments on handmade paper.

Studio address Furlong Close, Rowde, Devizes, SN10 2TQ. You can park anywhere in the car park signed ’The Mind Tree Cafe’. Directions https://w3w.co/jazz.ruin.attitudes Turn into Furlong Close (you’ll see a sign for the Mind Tree Cafe). After the first set of speed bumps turn right. Continue straight along into the end of the car park. You’ll see picnic benches with a little sign ‘mind tree cafe parking’ you can park here. The entrance to the studio is down the gap behind the green lean to shed.
