Make Jewellery With Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Silver (Ring, Pendant, Earrings) (Cornwall)

X

Description

In this class, we will play with silver precious metal clay. If you bring a found object you like we may be able to make a silicone mould (we will discuss this beforehand) and make it out of PMC. Hand building is also possible! A 20g bag of sterling silver PMC is included with this course, worth over £50. You can take this home with you if you have any left. Whatever you create can be made into dangle earrings, charms or I can solder it onto a ring band for you. This class is suitable for beginners and is an introduction to PMC and you will oversee some basic silversmithing techniques. We will break each stage down step by step throughout the class so you can leave wearing your new creation! I tutor up to 4 people in one session. More can be accommodated, but I will need to bring another teacher in - so only on request! This will take place in my studio in Penryn (near Falmouth), Cornwall. Please note, my studio is shared with a few other artists so there may be other people around while I'm teaching. Courses can be 4-6 hours long. Age Restrictions Classes are suitable for anyone over 16; for ages 14-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. Please click the 'message the tutor' button if you have any questions at all!

FAQs

Depends which course you are booking onto and how many people are attending. If you are the only person attending, most courses will be complete within 3 hours. For groups of 3 or more you are looking at 4/5 hours for most courses.

If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.

There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
