Light from dark in oil paint

X

Description

Working over a specially prepared paper, a single colour of dark oil paint is used to cover the entire surface. The paint is then removed with rags, brushes, and anything else that comes to hand. This process produces strong contrasts in an almost magical way. Suitable for all abilities (no experience working with oil paint necessary), but a basic understanding of drawing would be helpful. It is advised to wear old clothes and/or an art shirt, as oil paint can be messy!
