The wood is sourced locally, turned and waxed to give it a rich finish, making it the perfect gift to mark a special occasion. How this was made
To create the holder I hand cut a single piece of vegetable-tanned british leather. I then emboss each letter onto the piece and mark out the stitching lines. the leather is glued in place around the wood, I then stitch it tightly in place and add a single copper rivet to hold it securely. The leather is then waxed, finished and buffed.
