Why Drum Lampshades? Drum lampshades are versatile and modern, perfect for adding a pop of colour or a unique touch to any room. They can fit various lamp bases or ceiling pendants and are relatively easy to make, making them great for both beginners and experienced crafters. It's also a great opportunity to make new friends, learn a new skill and take some time for you, all set in the beautiful grounds of Rownhams House. What to Expect: Hands-On Experience: You’ll get to work with a variety of tools and techniques to bring your vision to life. Creativity Unleashed: Whether you prefer bold patterns or subtle textures, this is your chance to express your personal style. Step-by-Step Guidance: You'll be guided you through each step, from choosing materials to the final assembly.
What's included in the price?
Lampshade making materials included: All you will need to bring is a piece of fabric minimum size 110cm wide x 35cm high, or you can choose from our range of fabrics available to purchase at the workshop. The workshop will last two and a half to three hours with refreshments available throughout the workshop. There is some standing involved, so if you have any concerns about this, please get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button for a chat. With only eight places available, please book early to avoid disappointment.

FAQs
Rownhams House has plenty of free parking. Just park in the main car park at the front of the house and then make your way round to the Coach House at the back of the Main House.
All tools, equipment and refreshments are provided. You just need to bring a travel mug for your drink and a piece of fabric measuring 110cm wide by 35cm high. You can always purchase a piece of fabric for £5 from the selection available at our workshop.
No sewing is required for our Drum Lampshade making workshops.
