Description

A half day workshop during which you’ll make at least one pair of silver earrings or a pendant, along with a pair of ear wires for your earrings. This is a great entry level workshop for anyone who’d like to have a go at making silver jewellery as well as for anyone who already has some experience. You'll be able to make something like one of the designs pictured. We'll be using hand tools and a small jewellers torch as well as some larger jewellery forming equipment. You’ll learn some basic silversmithing techniques including texturing and shaping silver. There is no soldering involved in this workshop. At the end of the workshop you should have at least one wearable piece of jewellery to add to your collection or to gift someone. This is a great opportunity to make a personal handmade gift for someone. All tools will be provided, although if you already have jewellery making hand tools you might like to bring them. Please bring an apron and your reading glasses (if you need them) for close work! No open toe shoes can be worn while working in the studio. If you have long hair please remember to bring something to tie it back with. Please note the workshop runs with a minimum of 3 people. If the date is undersubscribed you will be notified at least 2 days before and you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund. Information and directions for attending the workshop will be sent to you at least 2 days before the workshop date.

What's included in the price?
