Introduction to Wet Felting, Make a Felt Picture
Description
A lovely, relaxing morning which will introduce you to the art of wet felting – or revise it from a previous session. You will learn to draft out unspun, soft wool fibres, then lay them in the best way to create a lovely Spring picture or abstract piece for a mat. You will also be able to use a variety of silks and sparkles to really make your piece attractive! Using wool, soap and water you will be guided through the process of agitating and rolling the wool fibres to form a wonderful piece of fabric. This class is run by textile artist, Penny, who has been felting for 18 years.

Penny Dixon has been felting and teaching workshops for over 18 years and is a member of the International Feltmakers Association. Also a member of the Heritage Crafts Association and a trained teacher, she also has a Masters in Art, Health and Wellbeing and believes we can all take time out to relax and fulfil our potential.
