Description
This is a 2 day workshop where you will learn a variety of different level patchwork blocks, hand & machine appliqué techniques, different quilting methods including free-motion and other interesting techniques to bring texture to your work . You will also learn the quilt as you go method enabling you to make a large quilt in a domestic setting, ideal for those of you finding it daunting to make and quilt a large item. If you have not taken the beginners quilting course you will need a basic knowledge of machine quilting techniques including rotary cutting. Suitable for those that have been on the beginners patchwork course or those that can sew a straight line confidently and have some experience with machine sewing.
What's included in the price?
Full course notes, some materials, equipment and sewing machines are provided although you are welcome to bring your own machines. You will be asked to bring 3 half metres of patchwork fabric or 6 fat quarters plus half a metre of plain fabric for joining & thread for quilting. Home cooked lunch, cakes and refreshments throughout the day.
