Better Days - 8” hand-embroidery kit (with video tutorials) from Stitch Therapy Club
Description
Stitch a little each day to improve wellbeing with Stitch Therapy Club. Originally designed as one of the STC monthly stitch-a-longs, each part of the embroidery design has its own instructional video, originally filmed Live in the STC facebook group Mon-Fri over the course of three weeks. Stitch along on your own three week timeline or at any pace of your choosing with lifetime access to the videos in the members area of my website. STC kits can be completed by beginners and more experienced stitchers alike. The stitch videos are very thorough, walking you through how to trace the pattern as well as finish the piece ready for display. In the first few videos of each stitch-a-long I go through the basics of splitting thread and threading the needle etc. If you’re a more experienced stitcher, come along to practise your skills with a new design and advice on stitching for mental health! Stitch Therapy kits are designed to encourage you to stitch a little every day, or at least carve out some time for yourself each week to spend on a creative activity, just for you. STC is for anyone who’d like to craft, learn and heal together, and to learn how to use the meditative art of embroidery to help manage mental health. For anyone who’s seen others use craft and creativity to relax but isn’t sure where to begin, and who’d like to be part of a community of like-minded individuals, who lift each other up and are on this craft as therapy journey together. For more information about the monthly stitch-a-longs and how to become a member, visit my website or Instagram @emilyrowanstudio *** The ‘Better Days are Coming’ kit was the monthly stitch-a-long for November 2020, during the second UK lockdown. I wanted makers to be able to stitch a piece full of hope and bright colours to remind them we’ll get through this and brighter days ARE ahead. This kit would be perfect for anyone who could do with the reminder, no matter what they’re going through, and is a great way to learn different botanical and floral embroidery techniques.
