The course is run in a Mill where there are toilets and a café available to use.
The course can be suitable to most abilities and strengths. You will need to be able to sit astride a bench (shave horse), use your feet to operate the clamp, grip tools to work the tools and a basic level of strength to work the tools.
Lewis can accommodate for different ability levels and will work with you to ensure that you have a stool to take home at the end of the day.
We source our wood from Leeds Coppice workers who manage woodlands in Leeds using traditional coppicing techniques that maintain the woodlands in a gentle and sustainable way. Lewis will be happy to tell you more and what wood you are working with.
