Description
In this very special Christmas upcycling workshop you will design and paint a wooden box in a stunning geometric pattern. The box can then be used to make a very special Christmas gift for a loved one, creating a pampering box, a gin kit or filling it with toys for a child’s present. I’ll make sure we have lots of metallics to give it a festive feel. During the course you will learn how to get a perfect, smooth painted finish on your future furniture projects. You’ll also find out what products to use and how to make intricate geometric patterns using masking tape, without the paint bleeding through and ruining your design. I will be showing you exactly what I do to create the striking geometric patterns on my statement pieces of furniture. The course is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle bigger furniture projects at home, and you’ll leave knowing exactly what equipment to use to ensure a perfect painted finish every time. I will also discuss the sourcing of suitable furniture, the prep you must do to achieve a professional look and what finishes can be used to ensure it is long lasting. All abilities are welcome. It can get messy so please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on.
