This half-day group workshop with our guest tutor, June Massey, is suitable for all skill levels. We will learn how raw glass is made, and about the fused glass processes. June will teach you how to cut glass and use different types of glass to make your design. It is exciting to produce a piece that gradually grows from a variety of small pieces of glass! This workshop should get you in the mood for spring! We will make a 24 x 9 cm waved shape and an "Easter egg" which also incorporates raw murine pieces. June will bring examples of her work & photographs of other students' work to inspire you. Please wear shoes with closed toes. Please note that the wooden stand is not included in the price but June can source one for you. This WAVED SHAPE & EASTER EGG FUSED GLASS WORKSHOP will be held in the peaceful setting of our Blended Monkey studios on the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border. Numbers are limited to ensure you get plenty of 1-2-1 tuition. This relaxing workshop is suitable for 16+. About a week before your workshop date, we'll e-mail you again with more details about parking etc. Refreshments will be provided throughout the session - tailored to meet all dietary requirements. All students will be provided with a certificate of completion. This would make a fabulous CRAFTY GIFT for someone 🎁 Suitable for 16+ June will deliver your finished pieces to you. Blended Monkey is a husband and wife team. Our studios are based in a small village on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Our setting provides ample inspiration for our work, and is perfect for our woodturning & pottery courses. Louise (ceramicist) - I studied at the Falmouth School of Art & Design and I am interested in various art forms, design and applied arts. Simon (woodturner) - I love working with wood & exploring its versatility. I'm a member of the AWGB and APTGW.
