Want to step beyond working to a kit or some one else's design? This is a two day course that will follow the whole process from looking, designing, experimenting through to creating. Working from the fabulous setting of the Viking Loom we will photograph and sketch out ideas and designs, experiment with ideas, fabrics, colours and techniques on day one. Emphasis will be on exploring freehand work, raw applique and fabric manipulation, plus a bit of mixed media if required!! Day two will be putting plans in to action, developing refining and making your own study of clematis, roses, or other flowers from the gardens. Bring your own machine, threads and basic sewing kit. Suitable for all competent sew-ers.
