Festive Macrame Decorations at Kirkstall Forge

Description

This session we'll be making our own macrame decorations from a variety of cords. It's the perfect craft for anyone who likes to make their own decorations and learn new craft techniques. You'll learn all the macrame knots you'll need to make a variety of different designs and you should leave with a few finished pieces and a few instructional sheets to make more at home. This workshop will take place in Butlers at Kirkstall Forge. There's a train station on site and Kirkstall Forge wants to encourage sustainability, but if you'd like a parking space let me know and we can get one arranged. The cafe sadly isn't open during workshops but do feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Course conditions: The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 7 days before the event however after that no refund can be given. If you feel unwell, have symptoms of covid or have been in contact with anyone who has please let me know so you can be moved onto a future session. Please don't arrive more than 10 minutes prior to the workshop unless previously discussed.

Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle (BA Hons Textile Crafts). Sessions are based on encouraging sustainability - mostly working across West Yorkshire, South Devon, Dorset and Hampshire and the surrounding areas, but willing to travel. Workshops are run with a relaxed, informal and inclusive atmosphere, letting people go at their own pace. Materials, guidance and technical assistance are provided but everyone is encouraged to push their own creativity, and most of all have a good time!
