FAQs

Wet felting is a traditional technique that uses warm, soapy water and friction to bond wool fibres together into a solid fabric. The process involves layering wool, wetting it, and then rubbing or rolling it to encourage the fibres to interlock. This method can create both flat pieces for textiles and seamless 3D forms like bowls or bags (we mainly just provide workshops for flat pieces). Wet felting is versatile, allowing for artistic effects such as blending colours or incorporating fabrics like silk (nuno felting) for added texture.
