Description

This course will enable you to understand the enamelling process, from the preparation of the enamel through to its final firing, resulting in a beautiful gloss finish. You will gain the confidence to be able to employ the technique in your own work. This is a practical and basic course with no requirement for you to design anything on the day. It is an introduction to the material and how to use it. We will cover the following: - Preparing the metal - Grinding and washing the enamel - Applying the enamel (wet-packing) - Firing the piece - Cleaning up and polishing the piece
