Making a Mark on the Landscape (Art in the Barn)

X

Description

Next Promoted date: Monday 24th March 2025 We are fortunate to live in a country with such diverse landscapes, be they moorland. mountain or coastline. Many artists spend their lives recording the changing seasons, colour palette and varied views, endlessly reworking ideas and exploring different techniques. Hosting our workshops in the South Downs National Park we are surrounded by chalk downland and beautiful valleys and it seems only right that we explore and take reference from this amazing scenery in our workshop. Join us for an exciting day of mark making and materials exploration. Our aim is to observe and explore marks in the landscape, using a range of techniques, including pen and ink, collage, mono printing and drawing. We will be joined by artist and maker Liz Wellby, who lives and works on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire. With over 30 years experience teaching and tutoring, and a particular interest in sculpture and printing, Liz will guide and support you throughout the workshop. This workshop is suitable for a range of abilities and creative experiences. Please bring along: an apron and your lunch.
