Charney Manor, a Thirteenth Century retreat centre located in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. Tutors and course organisers may find Charney Manor the ideal venue to hold creative courses and it is available on a fully catered exclusive use basis for groups up to 43 Charney Manor offers a relaxing, peaceful stay in a gorgeous countryside setting. It's ideal for tutors to run courses on yoga, meditation and wellbeing, businesses to use for team building and conferences, and friends and families may choose it for a social place to gather for a special occasion or reunion - The Manor is a hugely versatile holiday house near Oxford and the Cotswolds. All stays are fully catered, meals are served in the historic 13th century dining room with stone carved windows and views over formal gardens. Charney has a reputation for fabulous home cooking, guests will enjoy delicious freshly prepared food, made from quality ingredients sourced locally and providing for a variety of dietary needs. Charney Manor is home to 23 bedrooms all of which have en suite or private bathrooms. These bedrooms can be booked on a single occupancy basis or if a larger capacity is required, 35 guests on a shared basis or 43 guests if our Gillett’s cottage is used for additional accommodation. Accommodation is simple but comfortable, spread across the different buildings with combinations of singles, twins and doubles. Rooms have tea and coffee facilities, towels and hairdryers. There are comfy rooms for relaxation with plenty of choice for down time and breakaway spaces for business groups. The Barn offers a yoga, craft or training space for up to 23 or a theatre style set up to 50 guests. The Solar Conference Room is ideal for meetings or seminars. Outdoors the courtyard is a popular option for picnics and the large lawns provide somewhere for lawn games and children to play. Tai Chi and Yoga courses may take place outside in warmer weather. Located in the village of Charney Bassett, Charney Manor is only 1.5 hours from London, 20 minutes from the picturesque Cotswolds and historic Oxford, making Charney an ideal venue for groups, providing the perfect setting for rest and relaxation, sightseeing or business meetings.
