"Felting a Minster Skyline & Cocktails Workshop" is a collaboration with @alesandcocktails. We have found a perfect home for this amazing workshop, in the stunning New Holgate Hotel. They have the perfect space for you to be able to sip on mocktails or cocktails whilst learning your new craft. So why not immerse yourself in a creative evening that blends artistry and indulgence! Join us for a unique workshop where you'll learn the timeless craft of felting as you create your very own York Minster skyline masterpiece. Guided by an experienced instructor Katy, you’ll be taught the techniques to craft a beautifully textured, woolly depiction of one of York’s most iconic landmarks. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned crafter, this hands-on experience will leave you with a piece of art you’ll be proud to display. To make the evening even more special, you’ll enjoy two expertly crafted cocktails (or mocktails) that perfectly complement the cozy and creative atmosphere. Katy is a feltmaker, felt artist and teacher. She has taught Art, Design & Technology and Textiles in secondary schools for 24 years. She now runs her own art / craft business. Katy offers a variety of workshops, attends Fairs and exhibits. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.
