Description
Mosaic is an ancient art form which was originally developed by the Greeks and the Romans. Generally, mosaics are made from Ceramic or glass tiles. We call the tiles Tesserae which is the Latin word used to describe mosaic pieces and the word most people associate with mosaics. There are all sorts of other media you can use to create your unique piece of art, such as buttons, beads, mirror, shells, sea glass, jewellery findings and broken china. Having worked as a senior executive in a corporate environment for most of my working life, In February 2022 I chose to retire and focus on my passion for mosaics. I trained for over 20 years with a wide variety of mosaic artists and my passion is creating colourful mosaics to add interest and reflection into gardens. I am keen to share my passion and have now set up a range of face to face workshops and mosaic kits.
