Paint a Bird in Watercolour and afternoon tea and cakes
Description
Enjoy a relaxing and inspiring day painting a blue tit bird with watercolours, alongside a small group of like minded people. In the afternoon enjoy tea, coffee or apple juice from our orchard with a selection of sandwiches with homemade cakes. Work at your own pace in a friendly and encouraging environment at Daisy Cottage, which is set in the tranquil Teme valley countryside on the border of Worcestershire and Herefordshire. I will demonstrate and explain various techniques which include wet in wet washes for the background to give the illusion of light and distance. Glazing to add tone to various colours, and finally dry brush work to give detail and realism. You will also learn how to create a desired effect with your new found understanding of this therapeutic medium, and gain confidence in your own artistic ability. At the end of the day, I will put your painting in a mount for you to proudly take home to show family and friends.
