Hi, I’m Elsa, the heart and hands behind Elsilver! My journey into jewellery making began over 18 years ago when I took an evening silversmithing class. What started as a creative hobby in my West London flat—crafting jewellery on my beloved roll-top desk—soon turned into something more when people began wanting to wear my designs. Fast forward to today, and I’m now living and working in the beautiful coastal town of Lyme Regis, Dorset, where I’ve been running my own jewellery business since 2013. In 2017, I completed my Metal Clay Diploma with Lisa Cain at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery, and it completely transformed the way I create. I fell in love with this incredible medium, and I’m passionate about sharing its endless possibilities with others. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching traditional silversmithing, but I now specialise in metal clay, incorporating elements of silversmithing. I also teach metal embossing, using thin gauge metals to draw in designs which is so relaxing and rewarding! Metal stamping is also a passion of mine, where I use metal punches to impress designs and lettering into both precious metals and alternative materials like pewter and copper. I can travel across most of Dorset, East Devon, and parts of Somerset. I love what I do, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

FAQs
I like to ensure that my courses are as accessible as possible to a wide range of people. Please get in touch to discuss your personal requirements and I will do the best I can to make adjustments.
I have/had various disabilities myself and come from a social care background so have a fair amount of experience in dealing with some of the issues people can face.
The class is excellent for promoting a sense of mental wellbeing as it is so relaxing and enjoyable!
The venue is wheelchair accessible too.
It’s best to wear old clothes or a cotton apron to protect your clothes from any dust or mess.
Wear natural fabrics that aren’t too “floaty”, or have lots of dangling parts, to prevent any accidents when using gas torches, being near a small kiln, or when using tools. I recommend closed toed shoes also.
Biscuits and hot drinks will be available on site but lunch isn't provided, you’re welcome to bring a packed lunch if you’d like. You can also access the on site cafe if you want to grab something for lunch after the course/ midway through a full day workshop or of course to have a sneaky sweet treat! It serves fab food and is pretty reasonably priced. We are also near a local garage which has a Greggs and Subway.
Yes the venue is at Ria's Scent Lab which is on the Miller's Farm Shop site, it has plenty of parking in the on site car parks near by. There is also access to the farm shop, other businesses and a fab cafe on the same site.
