Description
Embroider your own Bayeux Tapestry horse in time for the arrival in the UK of the Bayeux Tapestry itself! This elegant horse is worked in Appleton's tapestry wool and metallic gold thread, using laid work on linen. You will learn use some of the basic stitches used in the Tapestry: laid couching, stem stitch, satin stitch, French knots and split stitch. This is a lovely project if you like surface embroidery. The finished embroidery measures 15cm high by 18cm wide. Suitable for beginners, although any level of embroiderer will find this fun to work. All my kits are packaged using recyclable and/or biodegradable materials.
What's included in the price?
The kit comprises linen fabric, seven skeins of tapestry wool, metallic gold thread, a hand transferred design, full instructions with a detailed stitch guide, diagram and photos, and a chenille needle. All kept tidy in a neat little box.
