Description
Silver clay is a mixture of silver particles and an organic binder which gives it a clay-like texture. Once dried, the clay is fired to burn off the binder, leaving only the metal behind, all fused into place and ready to polish up. A little work later, your piece(s) are ready to wear or gift to someone special. If that sounds awesome to you, then join me for an extended (4-5 hrs) silver clay workshop accommodating up to 5 people. (Smaller groups are perfectly welcome and will be given the unallocated clay to share). You will learn how to handle, store, manipulate, texture, and mould this magical material into gorgeous metal clay jewellery pieces before firing and polishing it to a pro finish. Please contact me to check your date is available before booking and indicate whether you would like the workshop to be held at your location (I have mobile kits and all we need is a table and chairs!) or whether you’d like to have the venue arranged for you.
What's included in the price?
You will each have a generous amount of silver clay to make you final item(s) with, as well as all the tools needed to get creative. There will be materials for practice and experimentation, and refreshments provided.

FAQs
This course is suitable for those aged 14+ however under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Some people find it useful to bring a notebook & pen. I would recommend bringing an apron or an old shirt to wear over your clothes. Finally, if you wear corrective lenses (e.g. glasses - including reading glasses) please do bring these with you! Jewellery is small after all!
