Learn jewellery making in a creative and supportive environment. The course will focus on the following skills and techniques but you are also welcome to complete your own projects. April 2025 (6 weeks from 29th April). Weeks 1-2: Sweat soldering (creating layers in sheet metal to form 3D designs)Pendant / brooch Weeks 3-4: Collet setting intermediate / cabochon stone setting beginners. Ring / pendant Weeks 5-6: Delft clay casting (using found objects) Pendant / earrings / charm
What's included in the price?
Materials will be available to purchase from the tutor during the course, but if you would like to bring your own materials this information will be sent to you weekly, and will depend on your design and choice of stones. Materials will range from £20-£50 depending on your designs and stones of choice.

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
