Description

On this workshop, you will learn how to create a lino print using up to 3 colours. Our designs for this workshop will be based on pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, and could also include some autumn leaves. The composition and design will be up to you! You will learn how to carve and paint subsequent layers to build up an image, from 1 piece of lino. This workshop is suitable for 16 + and is aimed at those with some prior experience of lino printing. If you have ever lino printed before, had a go at school, dabbled at college, or been on a beginners workshop in the past, this technique is the next logical step in your printmaking adventures. However, enthusiastic beginners are also very welcome! Places are limited to 6 participants to ensure that all members have plenty of 1:1 tuition and guidance on the day. You will be with a very experienced Tutor - I spent 17 years teaching Art and Design in FE colleges. We will be using printing inks which may stain clothing. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron!
