Description
Never thrown before or are still at beginner level? Then this is the perfect course for you. Lead by our head potter, Mathew Dimbleby, in this two hour workshop you will learn to centre the clay on the wheel, and how to produce forms of even thickness, before moving on to creating at least one beautifully made plant pot, which will be the perfect size for you to pop your favourite cacti, small plant or tea lights into. Once you have achieved the correct shape and are happy with what you have produced, it will be time to get the paint brushes out to decorate your pot with underglaze colour whilst the clay is still wet. Your final step in getting creative. Post lesson the pot/s will be dried out in our studio before going through a double firing process. The first firing process is the biscuit firing to 1000oc before being glazed with a food safe, lead-free glaze and fired again to 1120oc. Your pot/s will be ready to collect in approximately 2-3 weeks after your lesson.
