Robert and Deborah Brittain reviewed: Woodturning courses in Hampshire - Beginners and improvers wood turning courses - Turn British, all British lathes!!

"As complete beginners, we were keen but a little apprehensive. However, with Andy's patient and expert guidance we had a fantastic time. We came away with two lovely bowls which now have pride of place at home. We would thoroughly recommend Andy as a very knowledgeable and encouraging teacher. It was also lovely to meet Andy's wife, Martine, who was very welcoming and kind. All in all, a wonderful day."

Joanna reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day

"Well worth the time and money. The location is great, in a meadow, not far from Bristol in a field that's had a forge for a few centuries! Colin's a great teacher, explaining and showing the techniques without bamboozling you with jargon and then letting you get on to have a go safely, making the whole day a great experience. I learnt loads, made lots, and had a real laugh in the process. Would definitely return as you can never have enough wine glass holders :)"

Susan McBride reviewed: Two day leather work course - bag making

"This was a wonderful 2 day leather handbag course. Jason is a wonderful teacher, so patient and knowledgeable. I didn't think it was possible to make such a beautiful bag in just two days, feeling very pleased with myself. I drove up from London and was blown away by the countryside and the mill. Well done Jason, you are a star!"

Jenna reviewed: Introductory pottery wheel throwing taster sessions

"What a fantastic day! Really should be considered as a local hidden gem! I would urge anyone creative to go visit the studio shop, which is full of wonderful things, as well as booking yourself onto a course! Lorraine is a fountain of knowledge and supports all on the workshop with the highest level of skill. Both Lorraine and her mum were very welcoming, helpful and friendly from initial booking right up to the end of the day. I am looking forward to booking another course early next year to do some Raku firings! :) Thanks Lorraine!"

Josie Bartlett reviewed: Silver Jewellery making class at Sandra Kerns Jewellery studio, Little Sampford

"I was privileged to be one of Sandra's first students. The day covered a lot of information which Sandra has obviously put a lot of thought, time and effort into learning in order to pass this on. But it wasn’t just about the new knowledge I gained. The main benefits came from actually creating a piece, receiving individual feedback and interacting with Sandra about ideas and techniques. This day gave me a much firmer appreciation of the jewellery making process, especially when Sandra was thrilled when I finally broke a saw blade. (Apparently this is very common). I made some lovely pieces that day which a friend wore for her wedding. I would highly recommend this course. Sandra is a great teacher a wonderful mentor, but ultimately a superb silversmith!"
