Brand new course! Our established studio which already welcomes 20 regular potters every week is setting up a new weekly session on Tuesday mornings. In these small and friendly sessions we will cover the main methods in hand building and wheel throwing over the Spring term 2025. Each session runs from 1000-1200. The date of the first session is 7 January and we will have a one week half term break. The course is open to total beginners, with a programme provided for those who would like one, or if you have more experience simply use this studio time to pursue your own projects. The total cost of the 12 week long course is £200 including all materials and firings, which we dont place any limitations on (bar the size of the kiln, which is quite big!). We can't use a deposit system on this platform but it is set to a 4 week cancellation policy. Plus once you're 'in' you have the ability to switch occasionally to another weekly session, subject to space, or take some clay home. Plus you get first refusal on next term.
What's included in the price?
The total cost of the 12 week course is £200 including all materials and firing. There are *no* hidden extras for firing or glazing your work and no limits on how much you can produce, provided you can do it in your weekly sessions. And a cuppa... we always get the kettle on.
